Ever since my last visit with my mentor I have been cutting hair in my friends garage. I moved out to Westborough and my friend across the street has a barber kit that I use all the time to give line ups and sometimes a full haircut to most of my friends that come over. I give free haircuts because they're letting me practice on them so I think it's a fair trade.

\My mentor and I had discussed what my physical project was going to be and this is my hair he cut while we were talking about it. My mentor has this old school preppy style and he thought that I should do old school shaving with just a special knife and shaving cream. He felt that it would be better to do something different and new but old in a way too. I agreed to this plan because i think it would be cooler than what everybody typically does.

Barbering

Cutting hair for the first time was a new experience, my barber first cut my hair for a bit and was explaining how things worked with the tools. I gave someone a lineup which is a pretty basic thing to start off with when learning. All i had to do is use one clipper with no guard on it and make sure the customers hairline was straight and evenly cut. It is pretty difficult to be still the razor because i had to be very precise with it and I'm not very good at being still, but it was pretty fun and I'm looking forward to learning new things and tricks to do the barbering materials and people's hair.
